about the school

Iris Carranza, a young teacher, prayed that she would one day open a bilingual school in her north coast town of La Union, Honduras. Her dream was realized in 2012 when the Anne Fowler Bilingual School (named after Iris’ friend and mentor) opened to 12 eager kindergarten students!

The school is a blessing for students who need an education and a future.

Iris is doing God’s work in Honduras. Gus and Becky have heard her vision, sat in the classrooms, and see tremendous growth and opportunity. Ramirez Family Foundation is honored to invest in Iris’ mission, to help her add classrooms to the school.
